Allegan County Community Mental Health Homeless Assistance Programs is the HARA (Homeless Assistance Referral Agency) for Allegan County. This means that they are designated to help those that are currently homeless and those facing homelessness. To receive their help, you must first contact them by phone at (269)686-4703 OR attend their Housing Hour to speak to a staff person and get help directly.  Housing Hour is held on Wednesdays a couple of times a month.  To find out when the next Housing Hour is, where and what you need to bring with you, visit the AACMHS website and click on the Housing House PDF.

Victor Marques, of Renewed Hope Free Health Clinic, is a Certified DHHS Navigator.  He can assist with applying for benefits (food, Medicaid, etc.) and can help get a response/decision more quickly than you may by applying yourself. He is also able to assist with uploading documents and sending them to DHHS.  He is available to assist online or over the phone.  To reach Victor, call: 269-355-3053.

Allegan Homeless Solutions has placed 18 families in temporary housing in the past 16 months.

Period Warriors

Girls who are homeless or living in poverty often skip school because they cannot afford products or are too embarrassed to ask for help.  Help us stock school bathrooms throughout the county by donating products, discrete carriers, or if you would like to sign up to be a designated collector, please email us.
