Allegan Homeless Solutions and Allegan County Emergency Management are collaborating to be sure the homeless in Allegan County are protected from dangerous weather conditions.
Temperatures throughout the county are expected to be in the single digits with wind chills below zero for the next six days.
Arrangements are being made to offer a safe, warm site for those who are currently working with a local service agency.
The cost of housing just 15 individuals/families for 6 nights exceeds $4,500.00. Due to Covid-19, solutions previously employed are not an option.
We simply cannot leave homeless veterans, children, families, or seniors out in the cold. Every dollar helps.
